Former Student Joins the Jesuit Volunteer Corps
While most college graduates enter the workforce immediately or choose to attend graduate school, Theresa (Grosso) Bashaw ’09 is spending the next year volunteering for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest. Theresa is working with at-risk youth at St. Labre School in Ashland, Mont., and is trying to make a daily difference in the lives of children. She graduated from Manhattan College with a B.A. in religious studies and history.
This year the JVC accepted 142 volunteers into the program, 15 percent more than last year, and more than double that of five years ago.
