Manhattan Attends STEM Conference with Other Lasallian Educators

Tim Ward, Ph.D., P.E., dean of the school of engineering, attended and presented at the 2010 Huether Lasallian conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. The conference lasted three days and allowed nearly 200 Lasallian educators to take part in various presentations and breakout sessions sharing ideas on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

Ward and Marigene Ficke, science department chair at St. Michael’s high school in Santa Fe, N.M., presented Elements of the White House Report on STEM Education and reviewed the September 2010 White House report on STEM.
