Healthcare Legislation and YOU! Forum on Dec. 8 at Manhattan

The Bronx Community Board No. 8 is hosting a public forum on the new health care reform legislation on Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 7:00 – 9:15 p.m. in Manhattan’s Leo Hall. The event is open to all and will be moderated by Gary Axelbank, host of BronxTalk on Bronxnet Cable Network, and the panelists include: Congressman Eliot L. Engel (Bronx-Westchester); Donald L. Ashkenase, MHA, special advisor to the president at Montefiore Medical Center; Joseph R. Baker III, president of Medicare Rights Center; Elisabeth R. Benjamin, vice president of health initiatives - policy, advocacy and strategic planning department at the Community Service Society; and Jeffrey D. Chansler, senior vice president and deputy general counsel for EmblemHealth.
