Manhattan College’s Literary Journal Celebrates Release of Sixth Issue

Manhattan College’s Literary Journal of Contemporary Fiction,The Avery Anthology, released its sixth issue this year and celebrated at Bookcourt in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Nov. 5. Co-edited by Adam Koehler, Ph.D., and Stephanie Fiorelli, both faculty in the English department, The Avery Anthology has published fiction from some of today’s most sought-after writers: Ander Monson, Stephen Dixon, Hannah Tinti, Kevin Canty, Dan Chaon and Steve Almond.

The sixth issue features new fiction from Ann Packer. Pulitzer Prize winner Junot Diaz is slated to judge Avery’s annual fiction contest, The Small Spaces Prize, for the seventh issue, which will be released Spring 2011. To view photos of the release party, click here.
