Manhattan College Inducts Eight Honorees into Athletic Hall of Fame
The College held its 34th annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction on Nov. 10 sponsored by the Manhattan College Alumni Society. The honored inductees were: Richard Alexander '81, track and field; James Amandola '02, men's lacrosse; George Fisher '74, golf; Fran Fraschilla, men's basketball coach; Sandra Gordon '88, women's basketball; Bo Kucyna '81, men's soccer; Travis Lyons '98, men's basketball; and Tiffanie Poole Gentles '00, track and field. Lois Harr Receives Lasallian Educator Award
The Brothers of the Christian Schools, District of Eastern North America (DENA), honored Lois Harr, director of Campus Ministry and Social Action at Manhattan College and assistant to the vice president for student life and adjunct instructor of religious studies, with the annual Distinguished Lasallian Educator Award at the Huether Lasallian Conference, Nov. 15-17. The award honors educators for their outstanding work and dedication to exemplify the ideals of St. John Baptist de La Salle, patron saint of teachers.

Brian McGovern to Receive Special Award From Athletics Ireland
Manhattan College senior pole-vaulter Brian McGovern was presented with a Special Recognition award by Athletics Ireland at the association's National Athletics Awards on Nov. 17. Jaspers Compete at NCAA Northeast Regional Championships
The men's and women's cross country teams participated in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Nov. 9. Competing against the top teams from New York and New England, the men finished 33rd overall, and the women secured 35th place in the team standings. READ MORE»
