Baseball Outings

Staten Island Yankees

Saturday, August 2

The Staten Island Alumni Club invites alumni, family and friends to watch the Staten Island Yankees take on the Auburn Doubledays at 7 p.m. Enjoy the game from a luxury suite with outdoor seating. Manhattan College alumni will be welcomed on the center field high definition LED board and the game will be followed by fireworks. Tickets are limited and are $35 each. To reserve your tickets, please return the completed registration form and check to Ken Toomey '93 (193 Crystal Ave., Staten Island, NY 10302).

New York Yankees

Wednesday, August 20

Join fellow Jaspers as the New York Yankees take on the Houston Astros at 7 p.m. A limited number of tickets remain. Please contact the Alumni office at (718) 862-7454 if you would like to attend the game. The remaining seats are located in section 227B and are $50 (regularly priced at $100).

Washington Nationals

Sunday, August 24

Alumni, family and friends are invited to enjoy an afternoon at Nationals Ballpark (1500 South Capitol St., SE, Washington, DC) as the Nats take on the San Francisco Giants. Game time is 1:35 p.m. Tickets are located in section 409 and are $18 each. Tickets are limited and advance registration is required. A Day in the Hamptons

Saturday, August 9

Alumni, family and friends living on or visiting Long Island are invited to join the College for an afternoon cocktail reception from 3 - 5:30 p.m. at the Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Square, Southampton, NY). The event, hosted by John Nason '52, John Kirrane '78, and Nick Benedetto '08, is $35 per person and includes an open bar and a selection of hors d'oeuvres. REGISTER»

Hudson Valley Shakespeare Outing

Wednesday, August 13

Alumni and guests are invited to join the College to experience Shakespeare's production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Boscobel (1601 Route 9D, Garrison, NY). Enjoy a summer evening and dine al fresco while overlooking the Hudson River and West Point. Tickets are $50 (including picnic and performance) and will be available at will-call for registered guests. Tickets are limited and advance registration is required.

The grounds to Boscobel open at about 5 p.m. and Manhattan's gathering will take place prior to the performance, beginning around 5:30 p.m. Guests are typically asked to begin cleaning their areas by 6:30 p.m. as the performance starts promptly at 7 p.m. REGISTER»

Young Alumni Summer Reception

Thursday, August 14

Young alumni are invited to an outdoor after-work reception from 7-9 p.m. at the Boat Basin Cafe (390 West 79th St., at Hudson River, New York, NY). Enjoy a summer evening along the Hudson River with other Jaspers. An open bar will be available for the duration of the event. The cost of the event is $35 per person. REGISTER»

Please note: Due to the popularity of this outdoor venue, a guest count must be provided a week in advance. Therefore, advance registration is required and the deadline to register is Wednesday, August 6. A Day at Monmouth Park Racetrack

Saturday, August 16

Join alumni hosts Jim O'Brien '60 and Ken Kelly '54 and fellow Jaspers for a day at the races at Monmouth Park Racetrack (175 Oceanport Ave., Oceanport, NJ). The cost of the event is $35 and includes admission to the clubhouse, official track program, private trackside seating in the air conditioned Turf Club, and a buffet luncheon.
