Wall Street Journal Praises College's Outcomes

Manhattan College was recognized as one of the top colleges in the United States, according to a report released by the Wall Street Journal, in conjunction with Times Higher Education. Manhattan College ranked in the top 25 percent of more than 1,000 colleges and universities nationwide, scoring particularly high in a survey of students that cited strong career preparation, student engagement and outcomes after graduation.

James Patterson '69 Provides Scholarships to 20 Students

For the sixth consecutive year, best-selling author James Patterson ’69 awarded 20 Manhattan College students a total of $110,000 in academic scholarships. The scholarship for the 2017-18 academic year was given to 10 juniors and 10 seniors from the Schools of Liberal Arts, Business, Education and Health, Engineering, and Science.

Bollert Receives Costello Excellence in Teaching Award

David Bollert, Ph.D., a member of the Philosophy department’s faculty since 2005, received the fifth annual Costello Excellence in Teaching Award. In nominating Bollert, one student wrote: “After each of his classes, I would find myself in a state of pure wonder. His work was both intellectually and personally challenging.”
