Alixandria James '23 is College's First Truman Scholar

Alixandria James ’23 is one of 58 college students nationwide to earn a 2022 Truman scholarship for graduate studies, leadership training, career counseling, and special internship and fellowship opportunities within the federal government. A public health major, James is the first Manhattan College student to receive the prestigious award.

Building Connections with Lasallian Schools  

Manhattan College faculty and staff recently met with more than 30 students from Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Albany, New York. Manhattan College officials invited students from CBA’s Project Lead the Way engineering program to tour the newly constructed Higgins Engineering and Science Center and Leo Hall.

Jaspers Partner with Neighbors to Resettle Afghan Family

In the middle of Mission Month at Manhattan College, one group of students and faculty are living the mission in a special way. A dozen Manhattan College students, faculty and staff recently worked with members of the Northwest Bronx Coalition for Refugees to assist a family of seven moving to the United States from Afghanistan.

Manhattan College’s newly established Exercise is Medicine program, designed to provide students with the tools needed to sustain healthy physical activity habits, has earned gold status from Exercise is Medicine On Campus (EIM-OC).

Student-Athletes Continue to Succeed in the Classroom

Manhattan student-athletes continued to shine in the classroom during the 2021 fall semester. Two hundred twenty-eight student-athletes maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2. The student-athletes were honored with a breakfast last week on Walsh Plaza.
